Customizing How Excel Starts

To control what happens when Excel starts, go to the File menu, then choose options. It should open to a dialog box like this:

This is where you can change the font and other options, including the number of tabs that Excel starts with. If you'd like to change how "Autocorrect" works, click on "proofing", then "autocorrect options." This will bring up two dialog boxes:
