Professional Development Resources for Public Librarians

This resource guide was designed to provide public librarians with access to continuing education and professional development resources.

How to register for an Infopeople Course Seat

The Alaska State Library has purchased a block of fifty (50) seats to Infopeople online instructor-led training sessions. These seats may be used by any Alaska library staff member during fiscal year 2024.  These seats will be distributed in an equitable manner to ensure that participants from libraries of all sizes, all types and in all regions of the State are represented.  Ten seats will be reserved for each of Alaska’s five recognized regions: Far North, Interior, Southwest, Southcentral and Southeast.

To register for one of the reserved block seats, you will need to complete the online application form below.  Once your application has been approved, the Continuing Education Coordinator will register you for your Infopeople course. You will receive an email confirmation that you have been registered for your course.

You are required to complete an evaluation form for the Alaska State Library at the conclusion of your Infopeople course.

Important

Please note: If you fail to complete your Infopeople course, you will be required to reimburse the full amount of the registration fees.
