This guide covers tips and resources for optimizing documents for mobile reading. We cover Adobe Acrobat Professional, Adobe InDesign, and Microsoft Word. Optimizing content can be crucial for apps as well, but we don't cover that here. There are many apps for opening various formats. A few that we have used are below, but we cannot vouch for their quality compared to other options.
While not in common use in the State of Alaska, a number of federal and state agencies in other states have begun creating ebook versions of some publications. If you have a smartphone or tablet, you can likely experiment with these books.
