Free for iOS or Android. Although there is some disagreement about the ethics of geocaching in some locations such as wilderness areas, the game can be fun. It can turn an ordinary hike into a treasure hunt. Participants use GPS-enabled devices and clues to find the hidden or buried geocache (container). Geocaching.com is one website and app that people use for geocaching, but there are others.
Free on iTunes. From the webiste: "Uses visual recognition software to help identify tree species from photographs of their leaves." It is focused on the Northeast, and will soon cover the continental United States, so it is possible that some species in Alaska may not yet be covered.
