What I Do

  • Manages the library grant programs of the State Library, including the public library assistance, interlibrary cooperation and continuing education/professional development grants
  • Consults with librarians on funding sources and grant writing
  • Serves as State Data Coordinator for Alaska’s public library statistics by managing the grant report system, reviewing and submitting Alaska statistics to the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS)
  • Provides training to librarians on who to use their public library statistics for planning and marketing
  • Compiles and submits the State Library’s statistics to IMLS
  • Supports colleagues on Library Development team with their grant-funded project needs
  • Provides reference assistance to patrons of the Alaska State Library
