A group portrait of dozens of people taken inside. A large American flag is draped behind them. Most people are wearing costumes, including some women dressed as men holding signs that say Vote for Women’s Rights.

Residents of Iditarod dressed as suffragists and traveled to attend this St. Patrick’s Day costume party in neighboring Flat City in 1912. They received a special mention in the Iditarod Pioneer but did not receive the grand prizes-- a sugar and cream dish set for the best-dressed woman and a gold matchbox for the best-dressed man.
