Delta Librarian Joyce McCombs mentioned in Sullivan annual address to Legislature

On February 21, 2019, US Senator Dan Sullivan gave his annual address to the Alaska State Legislature. In this speech he spoke of his practice of educating the US Senate on Alaska by highlighting an “Alaskan of the week. He went on to give examples of these outstanding fellow state residents. If you wish to read the speech, check out Senate and House Joint Journal Supplement No. 5, February 21, 2019. His remarks about Alaskans of the Week start on page 12.  You can watch the full address on Senator Sullivan’s YouTube Channel. Mentions of Joyce and the other Alaskans of the Week appear at about minute 40.

Finally, if you need a full dose of Joyce’s wonderfulness, visit Senator Sullivan’s video and transcript from March 3, 2017 celebrating Joyce McCombs as “Alaskan of the Week.”
