MS 36. The Asa C. Baldwin manuscript collection includes writings, maps, and information about work done on the Alaska Canada boundary survey from Demarcation Bay on the Arctic Ocean to Mount St. Elias from 1910 to 1913. The collection also includes papers documenting Baldwin’s activities on prospecting, surveying and work at the Yellow Band Gold Mine near Chitna-McCarthy in the Bremner Range.

PCA 71. The Asa C. Baldwin original photograph collection includes views of the Alaska Canada boundary survey from Demarcation Bay on the Arctic Ocean to Mount St. Elias from 1907 to 1913. The photos were taken by Baldwin while he worked as a surveyor for the U.S. Government on the boundary survey.

PCA 577. The first Alaskan Aerial Survey Expedition was conducted between June 6 and September 24, 1926, headed by Lieutenant Ben H. Wyatt of NAS San Diego. This photo album details the expedition’s photography.

MS 4-37-9. Daily diary of reconnaissance of Port Moller and Herendeen Bays, Alaska Peninsula. The daily entries starting May 7, 1889, record soundings, survey of shoreline with sketches and data, weather conditions, and company activities.
