SITKA – Alaska State Museum Conservator Ellen Carrlee and her two conservation interns, Adrienne Gendron and Alyssa Rino, came to the Sheldon Jackson Museum in July to condition report, repair (when necessary), and re-mount 4 grass and cedar bark mats on exhibit in the gallery. They used new hanging systems designed by exhibit staff Jackie Manning and Aaron Elmore in Juneau.
Hear about the interns’ and conservator’s work and the mats in a Friends of Sheldon Jackson Museum talk on Zoom on Saturday, October 23 at 1 pm.
