Renting Space at the APK

Eligible Events and Programs

(Dependent on staff availability)

  • Events highlighting Alaskan authors, artists, historians, and musicians.
  • Events highlighting books or art with Alaska content.
  • Alaska holidays such as Alaska Day, Elizabeth Peratrovich Day, and Seward’s Day.
  • Events that extend or relate to the Alaska State Libraries, Archives & Museums (LAM) current exhibits, programs, and services or are based on the content of LAM collections.
  • Activities organized by the Friends of the Alaska State Libraries, Archives, & Museums (FoSLAM) that support LAM programs and activities.
  • Events of artistic, scientific, or historical significance focused on the dissemination of knowledge.
  • Alaska State agency workshops, trainings, and meetings.
  • Professional development conferences.

Ineligible Events and Programs

  • Events that promote a partisan political agenda including demonstrations, movies, fundraisers, political party promotions, protesting or endorsement.
  • Religious, philosophical, or motivational groups.
  • Polemic or discriminatory activities.
  • Events that promote illegal activities.
