What I Do
- Continuing Resources
- Coordinate the selection, acquisition, implementation, preservation and evaluation of the library`s serials collection, regardless of format.
- Assist with digital activities, such as processing state and federal publications for ingest into a digital repository.
- Federal Depository Coordinator
- Manage the Alaska State Library's obligations under the US Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP)
- Promote federal publications and other resources likely to be of general interest to Alaskans.
- Maintain expertise in federal government information resources including publications, databases and data sets.
- Provide training in basic federal information resources - may provide referrals to federal agency provided training.
- Maintain listing of Federal regional offices in Alaska - Federal Publications Collection.
- Reference and Bibliographic Services
- Serve as the State Library's liaison to:
- Commerce, Community & Economic Development
- Labor & Workforce Development
- Natural Resources
- Public Safety
- Provide reference and research service in person, by phone and by e-mail.
